You can also use
\adaptlayout
[5]
[width=+1cm]
or
\adaptlayout
[3,9,12]
[width=+0.5cm]
or something like that to make certain pages a bit smaller or larger.
Put this on top of your document. Probably preferred instead of changing
the document itself.
