Subject: Setting a maximum table/column width

Hi,
The "excursion" manual describes how to use w(dim) to set a column's
minimum width. Is there a way to set a column's maximum width so that
text automatically wraps around?
Alternatively, is there a way to set a table's maximum width so that it
doesn't get wider than \textwidth? I tried using \SetTableToWidth{} at
random locations but I either got errors or no improvement whatsoever.
Thanks,
Flavio
