normally it isn't but currently there are three issues that make it painfull:
- incompatible changes in the tds (enc/map paths)
- changes in pdftex (no config, better map support)
- the transition to latin modern
- (unnoticed) changes in pattern file names
- the usual changes in fonts
and ... you end up in the middle of it
i'll upload a new minimal (beware, tex live 2005 binaries), as well as the big
windows zip (will take a few hours)
