Hi,
The \currentvalue module functionality written by Taco will be included
in the kernel. However, instead of expanding (always) all assignments,
Taco and I opt for using the less destructive \expanded:
%D \startbuffer
%D \getparameters[a][b=d]
%D \expanded{\getparameters[a][b=c\currentvalue]}
%D \framed{\ab}
%D \stopbuffer
%D \typebuffer
%D
%D Gives: \getbuffer
