Just tried it with default LM, ec, and texnansi. No problem that I can 
see.  Question to toto:
What's your font setup for the document?
(Someone asked what encoding, you answered UTF-8, which in ConTeXt 
parlance is the input "regime". We're also asking about the font's 
output "encoding".  More at:
