Should be fine. If you like \start ... stop pairs, you can also do
it like this if you prefer:
\long\def\startJCsidebar#1\stopJCsidebar%
{\placeintermezzo{}{\startmyohmy #1 \relax\stopmyohmy}}
There already is a sidebar mechanism, so \startsidebar is 'taken'.
