All,
I have a friend who is trying to compile one of my figure files and
he crashes with the following error (winxp miktex 2.4):
Anyone have any ideas?

His ConTeXt does not seem to understand that he is using miktex
(that is the root of the problem, I think)

This does not load conTeXt, but plain TeX...

take a kpsewhich from the latest tex live; it looks like miktex does not have a recent one;
(well, meybe it's about time to the ruby version and use the alternative kpse script)
