is there a way to specify additional characters (e.g. &) to be used for
hyphenation of urls using \hyphenatedurl{...}?

TIA,
- Ralf

That's exactly what I want. And I thought I've seen some cases where
URLs were not hyphenated. Maybe I'm just mistaken. I'll come back if I

i've played a bit with special hyphenation patterns for url's but there are some limitations in the current tex (lc code mess); it could be made to work, so we can think of a couple of variants and reserve a few pseudo languages for them
