Your mail headers have this line: X-mailer: Pegasus Mail for Windows (4.31, DE v4.31 R1) So the chances that the problem is specific to windows are still high! Whether it's a bug in windows acroread, I don't know. Maybe windows acroread is rendering it correctly, and the other viewers are interpreting the PDF incorrectly?
