The mytypescrips file looks like %Adobe Caslon Pro typeface \starttypescript [serif] [acaslonpro] \definefontsynonym [ACaslonProRegular][name:ACaslonPro-Regular][features=default] \definefontsynonym [ACaslonProItalic][name:ACaslonPro-Italic][features=default] \definefontsynonym [ACaslonProBold][name:ACaslonPro-Bold][features=default] \stoptypescript \starttypescript [serif] [acaslonpro] \definefontsynonym [Serif][ACaslonProRegular][features=default] \definefontsynonym [SerifItalic][ACaslonProItalic][features=default] \definefontsynonym [SerifBold][ACaslonProBold][features=default] \stoptypescript \starttypescript [acaslonpro] \definetypeface[acaslonpro][rm][serif][acaslonpro][default] \stoptypescript If to remove start/stop around \definetypeface, luatex enters infine loop. But you really should > consider switching to outline fonts. I am looking for a good way to convert these fonts to type1, but textrace and mftrace don't run under windows and the results of mf2pt1 are not (yet) ok. I am working on this. Has anybody ever tried to rewrite metafont to produce type1 fonts? * Wierd problem. @ 2007-06-23 18:30 John R. Culleton 2007-06-23 19:46 ` luigi scarso 0 siblings, 1 reply; 6+ messages in thread From: John R. Culleton @ 2007-06-23 18:30 UTC (permalink / raw) To: mailing list for ConTeXt users On another list a listmate proposes to print a book in two copies side by side. The page size is 5.5 x 8.5 in. He wants to print two copies on his laser printer. He wants two impressions of page one side by side on letter paper, with two copies of page two on the reverse side etc. for 200 pages. Then he will guillotine the stack making two copies of the book. But wait, it gets worse. He is not resetting the book but has a pdf file as his source. I and others suggested the usual bit of using PSUtils to set four pages per sheet and folding them etc. but he doesn't want to get into folding. He has a guillotine and a binder. He doesn't have a folder. So, given a pdf file of a 5.5 x 8.5 book as a starting point, is there a sensible way to massage the pdf or its PS equvalent in a way to give him what he wants? He is on an Ubuntu system. He asked his question on the Scribus list. -- John Culleton ATTN Publishers/authors: If you don't read you don't succeed.
