i have fixed something (will be in next release) but not that way ... 
loading must permit pstricks usage as well

btw, does \usemodule[pictex,chemic] work?

loading pictex directly in mkiv will fail because it uses a different 
catcode management system; thrd-pic is a copy of pictex but contexified
