Avoiding hyphenation

Avoiding hyphenation

Hi,

How can avoid a word to be hyphenated? I
know that it is a basic question, but
all I was able to find was a tip about
using \hbox{}, which didn't work.

\setupalign[nothyphenated] or \nohyphens (kind of plain) or manipulating 
left/righthyphenmin, or extreme penalties or ...

depends a bit on the situation (one word, whole document, etc)
