in luat-cnf add the shell_escape line
texconfig.kpse_init = false
texconfig.shell_escape = 't'
also delete the font cache so that you will get the speedier tmc files
(recent luatex has more paranoid behaviour and it seems that we need to
be real soon in enabling system commands)
