Sorry for reposting this message sent this morning: I thought it
didn't go through…
Hi Hans,
I noticed that in math mode the spacement of some symbols are
incorrect while using mkiv (they are correct in mkii).
Here is an example
%%%%% begin example
\starttext
Set $a := bc^{-1}$.
\stoptext
%%%%% end example
In this example, there should be a space before and after ":=" as one
may see it readily in mkii (and indeed in plain TeX…).
Best regards: OK

in char-def.lua both colon and equal should be 'relation'
note for aditya: we need to check more of them (more colons)

Thanks Hans: it is fixed now with the latest beta mkiv.

Do you mean other instances of colons used in math mode?

colon needs a bit more care. The literal : should be a mathrel, while
\colon should be a punctuation. I do not know how to set this using
mathspec.
equal in the current char-def is wrong. The mathclass should be relation
(rather than binary).
