I want to point out that 40 Kb is too small for any pdf documents, even
simplest ones. Sometimes it's necessary to show the document produced,
but I never managed to get it smaller then 100 Kb. Can the limit be
increased, say, to 200Kb?

You'll have to deal with it. You can always upload a pdf to the wiki
(as an image) if you have no web space yourself.
