Subject: Context bug - output is shifted about 0.5 cm left
Date: Thu, 28 Jan 2010 20:11:16 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <4B61E154.3050709@centrum.cz> (raw)

Hello,

I couldn't find any note of this problem on the internet, so I'm
reporting it.

In the latest ConTeXt, the output of any document is shifted somewhat to
the left.
To reproduce: create a document with a few paragraphs of text. To make
the problem more visible, use \showlayout. On the right side of the
page, there is about 0.5 cm gap. When the PDF is opened in Inkscape, we
can see that the lines produced by \showlayout are outside the page on
the left side.

It happens on live.contextgarden.net as well as on my windows machine
with the minimal context distribution.
The problem does not occur in plain luatex.
The problem happens with pdftex engine as well.
I tried viewing the PDF in multiple viewers.

As this is an important problem, I suspect you are already aware of it,
but I couldn't find any notice about it.

Roman Plášil
