I spent quite some time yesterday trying to find out (A) if the font is actually installed (I think it is), and (B) what its name might be (I thought it might be "cmuconcrete" -- it isn't).  But the same manuals that proved helpful before advised me as a beginner to stay away from fonts or I could get into trouble.  I was and am ... and now I'm sticking with all the defaults.
