  Yes, you're right. This has been the case since the beginning, and
has been retained for compatibility reasons, even if the name is
confusing.

Is this something like: "red-right-returning"?

(You probably have to be a sailor from North America to understand this...)

I thought "titleright" was valid for descriptions [as well], see contextref.pdf, sec. "Descriptions", table on the pg. 237:

You can use “titleright” only in enumerations.

\definedescription[Owner][headstyle=em,width=fit,command=\groupedcommand{}{ ---},distance=.5em]

Hello,

is it possible to specify some text to be used as the end of a description?

I tried this:

---
\starttext
   \definedescription[Owner][headstyle=em,width=broad,titleright={--- }]

   \Owner{AAA} Abc

\stoptext
---

- Hoping to get "AAA --- Abc".

But I got just "AAA Abc".

So what is the purpose of the "titleright" option of the \description?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Lukas

From the documentation page 236
( ConTEXt reference manual )

%-----------------------------------------------------
\definedescription
  [definition]
  [location=serried,
   headstyle=bold,width=broad,
   sample={icon}%% senseless here
  ]
\starttext

\definition{icon}

What for some languages looked like a handicap has now become a feature.
Thousands of words and concepts are already layed down in characters.
These characters therefore can be considered icons. \par

\stoptext
%-----------------------------------------------------

The setting location=serried is useless here in fact of the empty line
after \definition{icon}. If I delete the line and add another entry
like

\definition{iconize} some text here

then I can see that the setting sample={icon} has no meaning.
It is only taken into account _without_ location=serried.

Hi all,

I want to have description placed in marging (location=inmargin) and I want
to have description item text wider than width of margin. So the text must
be formatted into paragraph.

If I use \setupdescription[abc][text={Some long leading text: }] this
leading text is typeset in paragraph.

If I use \startabc{something after leading}...\stopabc the text "something
after leading" does NOT become part of paragraph ans it is typeset in one
box (hbox).

How to get description title typeset in paragraph?

Thanks,

Martin
