Hi,

I can't get the repeating header to work with the new extreme tables (the "new column A" should be on the second page). What is the error here?

quick hack:

\placefigure[split,fixed,none]{}{...}

currently only the the float related splitter will check the available 
space, so in your case you have a regular flush with skips between the 
rows and a header/footer only
