Thanks for your reply, Wolfgang.

I'm afraid it doesn't work:

	\definedescription[abc][headcommand=\tex]
	\starttext
	\abc{startext} not working \tex{stoptext}
	\stoptext

\tex{…} command works, but not if invoked from headcommand.
