Again font mechanism

Hi Hans, hi all,

After installing the latest beta from 28-08-2001 and thorrough checking the
presence of all necessary files I was able to run texfont on the public
fonts.

Though I made quite some progress I am still not able to use the
PX-fontfamily properly. I have no clue how to interprete the error at the
end of the log-file (see attachment)

Warning: pdfetex.exe (file pxex.pfb): cannot open Type 1 font file for
reading

you need to find the map file that comes with px, it's in the tmf-fnt zip 
file and i also attached it.

Hi Hans

Thank for your hint. Still I am not able to use the Px-fonts. The
ec-youngryu-px.map and the ex-youngryu-tx.map files are already in the path
of pdftex\config, where they were put when I installed the latest beta. Of
course I had the LS-R database updated.

Are the pfb files installed? When i fetched the fonts a pfb path was used, 
while web2c expects a type1 p[ath (on tl6 both pfb and type1 are understood).
