this has already been solved in the latest beta, add

\def\@EAEAEA{\expandafter\expandafter\expandafter}

somewhere in supp-pdf.tex (after \unprotect)

and it will go ok

btw 1: texexec --fig=c yourfile.1 will also work

btw 2: grab a newer pdftex from the web, your one is acro-5 unsafe
