color in natural tables

Hi,

if I define color for table cell using table mechanism (e.g.
\bTR[color=red]) all is OK.

If I use \bTR\color[red]{bla bla}\eTR the cell expands to maximal width.

Is it OK too?

indeed, a side effect or starting a par with color, this is why we have the 
color= key

a grep on the contetx base path learns:

supp-mpe.tex:  {\checkMPpath % !
supp-pdf.tex:  {\checkMPpath
supp-pdf.tex:\def\checkMPpath

so, do you happen to have some other supp-pdf.tex file on yoru system 
(latex also uses this file so maybe there is an old version in a path that 
is consulted earlier)

it's abit more complicated; in some cases, in order to get spacing ok, 
struts are added, and esp in \framed (the buildingblock for bTABLE) you 
shoul dnot fool around with color too much (there, use \foregroundcolor 
instead)
