That's really cool. After reading Bringhurst, I've been intrigued with
something that could do powerful grid layout.
However, am I alone in thinking there's no difference between the normal
math grid and the halfline math grid, around page 20 in the document?

i have to check it, maybe i load the wrong buffer (copied code from test
files)
