I'm having the same issue.  And I still haven't figured out how to 
indent the footnotes, or add some whitespace between them...  Perhaps a 
bug also?

this is what the previously mentioned font patch (willy's) was for; has to 
do with some default setting that was overloaded at teh wrong place

Thanks; that fixed the problem.  I'm now noticing, however, that I've 
also lost margin kerning (though not because of the patch) someone 
along the way to updating to the latest release.  Any info on that?
