Subject: shifting individual pages
Date: Mon, 29 Jul 2002 01:16:50 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <5.1.0.14.1.20020729011042.031ea528@remote-1> (raw)

Hi,

I added an option that permits individual shifting of pages. Since this is
normally only done when arranging pages, some manual work is needed, esp
since the shifts will depend on the thickness of the paper. The following
setup demonstrates the idea:

\definepageshift[test][horizontal][10pt,20pt,30pt,40pt,50pt]
\definepageshift[test][vertical] [10pt,20pt,30pt,40pt,50pt]

   \setuppageshift[test]
% \setuppageshift[test][test]
% \setuppageshift[test][none]
% \setuppageshift[none][test]
% \setuppageshift[paper][test][test] % arrange only
% \setuppageshift[paper][test] % arrange only
% \setuppageshift[print][test][test]

\starttext \showframe \dorecurse{100}{\input tufte \par} \stoptext

So, horizontal and vertical shifts are defined independently. The shifts
loops over the lists.

It would be nice if we could have a few predefined examples, but i leave
that to those who wanted this feature (nagy and willy).

This feature will be available in the next beta.

Hans
