If you look into (grep over) the type-* files, you'll notice that
Times-Roman is mapped into some other name (either a berry one, or a
texfont one)
What happens if you say:
\usetypescript [berry] [ec]
\usetypescript [postscript ][ec]
\setupbodyfont [postscript]
