Hi,
The next version will have a new system mode, which can be used in
conditional processing:
\startmode[*first]
...
\stopmode
this mode is true in the first run and can be used like:
\startmode[*first]
\executesystemcommand{dowhatever test.tex x-test.tex}
\stopmode
\typefile{x-test.tex}
an example of a preprocessor run, which only needs to be done once; this
can be handy when one needs to preprocess to be included files.
