Hallo.

I'm sorry to bother you this time but I would really apprecitate your help.

I've installed Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit on a new disk. I downloaded the
last stable version of ConTeXt suite (today). The installation was all
right. However, when I run texexec (e.g. texexec --help), I get the
following error:

/programy/context/tex/texmf-linux-64/bin/mtxrun:15228: attempt to
index field 'loaders' (a nil value)

The same happens with context (e.g. context --help). Can you tell me
what to do? I guess I simply need to install some libraries. This is
the first time I've tried 64 bit Ubuntu.

Best wishes
Michal

If needed, I can roll back to LuaTeX 0.72.0, but I believe that Hans
will fix this soon enough. However, this means that the "current"
(stable) ConTeXt will stop working with the latest LuaTeX.

(Hans, is there any chance to make a fix that will work with both
0.72.0 *and* 0.74.0? Also: would it be possible/feasible to backport a
tiny change to TL/current context as well or is this going to
introduce a plethora of other incompatibilities?)

Well, we don't have a binary distinction between current and stable and
as luatex and mp are still moving users should not update.

Depends on the issue. Aliasing a few functions is not that complex. Best
we can discuss that off list so that I can tell you what to change.

Ah, ok you mean "current" -- I mean "beta". "beta" seems ok, but i've
not checked the "current" .

Assuming that a new luatex will work with an old context is dangerous
... still being beta, we can change aspects of luatex in ways that
context needs to be adapted. It makes no sense to update luatex but not
context at the same time.
