\setupbodyfont[cambria,rm,12pt]

\starttext
     ${\mathupright    a}= 1$
     ${\mathupright\bf a}= 1$
     ${\mathupright    λ}= 1$
     ${\mathupright\bf λ}= 1$
\stoptext

so ... no upright bold greek in the font
