\appendtoks
     \inheritmaintextcolor
\to \everybeforenoteinsert

\appendtoks
     \inheritmaintextcolor
\to \everymargindatacontent

could work, but it needs testing as we cannot predict side effects

needs some thinking

\setupTABLE
   [framecolor=\maintextcolor]

some settings date from mkii times but again we need to think of side
effects
