I wonder if there are differences between UK english and US english (I 
once saw the same book in a shop, oen from the uk, one from the us, and 
although they looked nearly the same (size, font) the pagebreaks were 
different ... do they really bother about these things?

that's tufte ... let's leave that one as-is because it could break 
examples when we fix it
