Many thanks for your extremely instructive explanation, Hans.

I’m happy with the compilation speed in ConTeXt MkIV.

I only asked because as an average computer user, I thought that 64bit
programs would be faster than 32bit programs.

Well, this isn’t the first time that the previous sentence isn’t the case.
