De= ar=20 list,

I have the following table:

\starttext
=20 \startalign[center]
\startxtable[location=3Dmiddle, frame=3Doff,=20 bottomframe=3Don,
topframe=3Don, rulethickness=3D2em,
= %~ before=3D{\startalign[center]}, after=3D{\stopalign}
]
=20 \startxrow
\startxcell test \stopxcell
\stopxrow
=20 \stopxtable
\stopalign
\stoptext

Well, I thought=20 location would center the table. Before and after (with
\startalign)=20 crash compilation. Aligning the whole table doesn=E2=80=99t seem to
ma= ke any=20 difference. Sorry, but how can I center the table and not its
contents= ?
Use

\startlinealignment[middle]
=C2=A0=C2=A0 \startxtable
=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 ...
=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 \stopxtable
\stoplinealignment

or

\startplacetable[location=3D{force,none}]
=C2=A0=C2=A0 \startxtable
=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 ...
=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 \stopxtable
\stopplacetable
The second issue is about rulethickness: would it be possible=20 to specify
different dimensions for each frame (top, bottom, left,=20 right)?
Disable the normal frame and use a metapost background with
different values for all borders.

Wolfgang
