Dear all,

I was wondering if there w= ere any sort of tool (beyond manual eye inspection) in general sense, eithe= r printing some warning in log file, or visually in output document, or eve= n reading pdf file, that would help determining if for a some page there is= content that is typeset outside (partially or even worse totally) the prin= t/page area.

If not, could the approach of using a lua function to inspe= ct nodes after shipouts task could possibly work (although not very easy to= implement maybe) :

local report_check =3D logs.reporter("user&= quot;, "check")

function userdata.page_check(head)

=C2=A0=C2=A0 local realpage =3D tex.getcount('realpa= geno')

=C2=A0=C2=A0 report_check('Page '= .. realpage)

=C2=A0=C2=A0 -- TODO: code= to check stuff is inside print area

=C2= =A0=C2=A0 return head, false

end

tasks= .appendaction("shipouts", "after", "userdata.page_= check")

tasks.enableaction("sh= ipouts", "userdata.page_check")

Many thanks

Best regards=
