don't use these low level commands use:

\naturalhbox{r2l box}
\reversehbox{l2r box}

and in running text \righttoleft and \lefttoright

and at the document level \setupalign[r2l]

etc .. context supports only that (in order to avoid unwanted side 
effects and interferences)
