I'll be happy to try anything to find the cause. Up to now, I was under the impression to have a very clean (i.e. untouched by myself...) TeX tree on my machine. Should I wipe the whole TeX installation and reinstall everything? (and if yes, what needs to be removed? [using gwTeX]) Matthias
