Subject: Problem installing context with miktex
Date: Fri, 6 Jul 2001 15:15:02 +1000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <671247433.20010706151502@utas.edu.au> (raw)

Hi,

I just downloaded context, followed the instructions to install it
using miktex (I've been using latex), but I have a few problems. I
also installed ActiveState Perl, which I didn't have because I do all
my scripting in Python, so I don't know if I am facing a Context or
Perl problem.

When I run

D:\tex\texmf\context\perltk>texexec test.tex

I get:

 TeXExec 2.5 - ConTeXt / PRAGMA ADE 1997-2001

            executable : pdfetex
                format : d:/tex/localtexmf/miktex/fmt/cont-en
             inputfile : test
                output : standard
             interface : en
          current mode : all
               TeX run : 1

The name specified is not recognized as an
internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

              run time : 0 seconds

But I do not get any output from the file. I don't know if the error
message "the name specified..." is produced by context or Perl. Any
ideas?

Best regards,

Luis
