What is the difference between TD and TC in \bTD, \bTC , \eTD, and \eTC ?
--------------------------------
\starttext
\bTABLE
\bTR \bTC one \eTC \bTC two \eTC \bTC three \eTC \eTR
\bTR \bTD one \eTD \bTD two \eTD \bTD three \eTD \eTR
\eTABLE
\stoptext
-------------------------------- result looks the same to me..?
Thanks

The only place in the source where bTC is mentioned is in
tabl-ntb.mkiv (and tabl-ntb.mkii), which says says
\unexpanded\def\bTC#1\eTC{\bTD#1\eTD} \let\eTC\relax
\unexpanded\def\bTX#1\eTX{\bTD#1\eTD} \let\eTX\relax
\unexpanded\def\bTY#1\eTY{\bTR#1\eTR} \let\eTY\relax
I guess that means \bTC and \bTD are the same (as is \bTX).

The two groups
- \bTC … \eTC and
- \bTX … \eTX
are the same as \bTD … \eTD and the group
- \bTY … \eTY
is the same as \bTR … \eTR.

Hi,
I'm moving some new experimental code into the code. Those willing to test,
can give natural tables a try. See beta page for preliminary up to date and
beta zip for functionality. Keep in mind that things can change. Fancy test
tables are welcome.
This mechanism is a multipass one, using a new feature, currently supported
in pdftex, but also available in dvi, but the perl code needed is not yet
in the distribution. [taco and I have to package it]
Hans
