Dear = TeX users and friends,

Please find below the call for papers for = BachoTeX 2025, the dates are from 30th
of April until 4th of May, = 2025; see https://bachotex.gust.org.pl.

This will be the 30th = BachoTeX conference, a reason to celebrate. Another reason
for = celebration is that the first conference was had in 1993, 32 years ago: = a
=E2=80=9Cround=E2=80=9D binary jubilee, another pretext to = reminiscence whereto participants and
authors are encouraged, also in = what follows.

We are sure that the conference will be interesting = mainly because of your
presence and papers submitted in response to = the call for papers =F0=9F=99=82. This year's
theme seems to us = important: exposing students of lower levels of education to
the = power and quality of TeX creates chances for a new generation to follow = into
our footsteps.

Registrations will be announced = separately and as soon as possible..

The 30th GUST TeX = conference - call for papers

***TeX in education***

The = jubilee, thirtieth BachoTeX conference is dedicated to using TeX in and = for
education.

Though TeX is known and used in Poland at = academia, especially in STEM, for more
than thirty years it still is = a niche tool at lower levels of education. The aim
of this year=E2=80=99= s conference is to look at how TeX may be used to support = education
processes in different contexts: pupils at various levels, = teachers, authors of
curricula, school management or persons less = obvious in this context such as
carers of special interest groups and = others involved in school=E2=80=99s life.

Those who contribute to = education processes should be able to see the value of
and potential = offered by the TeX system =E2=80=93 be it for preparing teaching = materials
or creating tools to support everyday school activities =E2=80= =93 TeX=E2=80=99s advantages over
other software systems or packages = should be obvious.

Authors are invited to submit papers not only = directly on the conference theme,
we encourage you also to relate to = the 30th BachoTeX jubilee. We look forward to
receiving inspirations = and hearing of your experiences as impulses for further
research and = developments.

* Papers/presentations

Of course we also = look forward to the normal mix of TeX, = Metafont=E2=80=89/=E2=80=89Metapost
(please, do not forget the = fonts!), ConTeXt, LaTeX, and friends related
presentations. We also = do upkeep the BachoTeX trend in which we try to bring
together = programmers and designers of typographic systems, typographers = and
other users of such systems. The normal channel of offering = papers is the
emailing of proposals to the Program Committee, but = before rushing off to the
mailer, please consult the info for = authors

* = Workshops and tutorials

We look forward to proposals for = TeX-related tutorials or introductions. If you
have suggestions for = tutorials or workshops by others than yourself or about
specific = topics, please let us know.

* Poster sessions

As always at = BachoTeX participants will be given the opportunity to present
their = TeX and typographic results in the form of posters for which we = provide
exhibition space.

*Deadlines and addresses

The = deadline for =E2=80=9Cregular=E2=80=9D abstracts and other proposals is = March 31th 2025. The
deadline for final versions to appear in the = conference materials is April 14th.
