Does anyone knows a hint to get the stacked boxes to the correct size?
When usinig non-zero values for the options
spaceinbetween and/or columndistance
the cells of the xtable will not properly size when spanning over rows
and/or columns.
e.g.

Hi Floris,
I think you might be hitting a bug.
From your sample, it seems that (columndistance * (nx - 1)) or
(spaceinbetween * (ny - 1)) aren’t added to the cell width or height.
But Hans knows better than myself what may be missing there.

Can someone (please) help me out to fix the incorrect/unintended
stacking of cells within the xtable?
