I'm taking a long tour in the wiki (congrats for the work).
It has reminded me that I don't know what's the difference between
command and switch.
Can anyone bring me to the light?

\command{the command works with its parameter(s)}
{\switch the switch influences everything in its group}
e.g. \em is a switch, \quotation is a command
