Hi,

I posted that to the tetex-pretest mailing list before, but got
no response. Maybe someone is using the tetex beta here and got
an idea why this is happening?

Greetings,
		Alex

Hi,

I just installed the beta versions from dante, but now the
§-sign does not work anymore in ConTeXt:

alech@sonja:/tmp> cat paragraph.tex
\starttext
\S 15
\stoptext

alech@sonja:/tmp> texexec paragraph.tex

But the DVI-File only contains a "15" without the §. In both Plain-TeX

Maybe someone got an idea how to solve this!?

I do not use tetex beta. I have a very old tetex and a very new
ConTeXt.

As a workaround, you can use either $\S$ or \sectionmark (latest
ConTeXt version needed). I think that \S (and alike, there are more)
should work in math mode *and* in text mode.
