Subject: \high{} in mkiv

Hi all (Hans!),
I have a problem with the \high{} command in mkiv: in most of my
typescripts, I have the onum feature set for my base fonts. When I
have a number with two digits within the \high command, I get the
expected oldstyle numbers; with one-digit numbers, the number is
regular (not oldstyle). Since I know that this sounds completely
ludicrous, I attach a small pdf example. It's set in Adobe Garamond,
and the source is:
A\high{1} A\high{2} A\high{12}
Why is the onum feature lost for single-digit numbers? I'm completely
lost here, can anyone help?
Thanks, and best
Thomas
