Unless you have a good reason for keeping it, try removing the web2c
directory from your /Users/matthias/Library/texmf/ and then
rebuilding the format files.
There has been much on the list about what people want in their ~/
texmf. Still, I find it much simpler to use it only for stuff that is
mine and not part of the ConTeXT distribution.
