Wouldn’t it make sense to go (X)HTML->ConTeXt?
Then you can use one of the online JS editors like CKeditor.
Massi can tell more, I guess; i.e. he already told us a lot, I just can’t remember the details.
For his MEO project he extended one of the editors to allow for additional markup.
