Sorry but I do not know. I *do* know that you can do this:
\definebreakpoints [czcompound]
\definebreakpoint [czcompound] [-] [nleft=3,nright=3,type=4]
\setbreakpoints [czcompound]
And perhaps hook that into a language switch. Does that help?
