write my
thesis is that I can not compile
successfully
though and followed all the steps in
http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Windows_Installation
I remember down mswincontext.zip aver
pragma-ade in which compiled more easily, also wanted
 to know what
the most recent version
of ConTeXt MKIV because they lose
http://minimals.contextgarden.net/pragma/
is the year 2008, and the installer
ContextMinimalInstall.exe
 fails.

My OS is Windows xp

I wish
my thesis has typography MKIV manual, please
I would like to know what are the sources used in this.

PD: Sorry if you can not really understand the

the big zips have been replaced by minimals on the context garden so you
need to download the installer from the garden and proceed from there

Since tex has more a concept of paragraphs than of lines, the answer is no.
When tex flushes a paragraph, theu are typeset already and nothing can be
added.

The trick is to disassemble the paragraph and handle lines. In verbatim,
the everyline can indeed be used, since there every par is a line.

However, context provides a line numbering mechanism!

\startlinenumbering
your text, probably some more
\stoplinenumbering

For more info, see co-en-10.pdf, the beta chapter on referencing, since you
can even refer to line numbers and/or ranges.

Meestal is

pdftex ondersteunt (pdf inclusie is daarin namelijk sinds kort mogelijk)

When using a teTeX-0.9 (not yet released) setup or the TeX Live setup,
you have to add a -progname=context switch to make sure that the enlarged
array sizes for context are used when reading the texmf.cnf file.

The switch also makes sure that the right TEXINPUTS search path is used.

> tex --ini cont-nl

Add the -progname=context switch here as well (same reasons).

Can I somewhere download a some sample files to check my installation?

Yes, will do.

Using teTeX 0.4 you have to re-compile it. -- See
http://frambach.eco.rug.nl/pragma/document/general/faqs/fh-ch-nl.htm#TETEX
or
http://frambach.eco.rug.nl/pragma/document/general/faqs/fh-ch-en.htm#TETEX

But I think using teTeX 0.9 is better, it is still beta, but it runs
quite stable.

Using this teTeX version (which is based on Web2c 7.2) you can simply
addapt the values in the texmf.cnf file, which is AFAIK located in the
teTeX/texmf/web2c directory. You might use the values suggested in the
PPCHTeX-FAQ (see above).

Tobias

[Thomas: You might concider to integrate context into the present
beta-0.9 texmf. Presently, there are only generic files (from CTAN I
guess). Have a look at: http://frambach.eco.rug.nl/pragma/download.htm ]

The problem with TeTeX is that I don't know how to enlarge it. If you use
web2c it's no problem. With the next TeX Live CD ConTeXt will even be
preinstalled. If you know how to enlarge tex you're almost done.

Groetjes,

Berend.

I'll answer in english because I cc to Thomas. ConTeXt is a monolitic
system and only needs a few files at runtime, typically fonts or local
special or language settings. The steps are as follows:

(1) create a directory for context and unzip the files
(2) generate a format file (fmt file) using a rather large TeX

Running context depends on the system used, but normally is something
like:

tex &cont-nl <filename>

In these days of prebuild systems, one often gets the fmt files
prebuild.

In LaTeX, one has a small fmt file (the core) and a large bunch of
feature files (often called style files). In ConTeXt most features are
integrated. As a consequence, an update (actually in a few days an
update in released) needs to be compiled into a fmt file, usually with
something like:

tex --ini cont-nl

after which the file cont-nl.fmt is to be moved to the appropriate
directory.

It is not that easy to write an installation manual for each system,
although in a few years probably most users will use web2c and tds,
which makes life more easy.

Berend (also cc'd) has promissed to make a unix installation manual and
Thomas will include ConTeXt in the next tetex distribution. Anyway, it
does not hurt to know how to generate a format.
