\setuplayout[margin=2cm]

or

\setuplayout[leftmargin=2cm]

or

\setuplayout
  [backspace=4cm,
   margin=3cm,
   ...]

The important part is to have a leftmargin which is narrower
than the backspace, you can do this by increasing the backspace
or decreasing the left margin.
