The following code has the right character spacing spacing in the body text
but not in the footnote.

\mainlanguage[fr]
\setcharacterspacing[frenchpunctuation]
Le début est lacunaire; le début est lacunaire: le début est lacunaire.
Est-ce que le début est lacunaire? \quote{Il n’y a pas de titre final}?%
\footnote{Le début est lacunaire; le début est lacunaire: le début est
lacunaire. Est-ce que le début est lacunaire? \quote{Il n’y a pas de titre
final}?}

I am running the latest standalone.
Any suggestions?
